Our Mission
- The mission of West Wilson Middle School, in partnership with parents and the community, is to create a culture in which all students are actively engaged in rigorous, relevant learning.
- We envision our school as a community of actively engaged learners who are able to think critically and make responsible decisions in an ever changing global society.

Principal-Josh Johnston

Mr. Johnston started his educational career as an educational assistant at Mt. Juliet High School in 2008 in the Exceptional Education CDC department . He received his bachelor’s degree from Cumberland University, and then transitioned into inclusion classes where he taught Biology, Chemistry, ELA 1 & 2, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. He received a master's degree from the University of Alabama in Educational Psychology and helped create the first CIP program at Mt. Juliet High School. Later he earned his Ed.S from Tennessee Tech, and shortly after he moved to an Assistant Principal role at MJHS. During that time, he participated in the Governor’s Academy for School Leadership at Vanderbilt University. In 2021, he became the Secondary Supervisor for Wilson County Schools. Mr. Johnston's goal as a school leader is to provide all students and faculty every opportunity to grow and thrive.

Mrs. Hill has been an educator since 2001. After moving to Mt. Juliet from Louisville, Kentucky, she taught math and science at Mt. Juliet Middle School for eleven years. Mrs. Hill also served as an instructional coach before she was appointed Math Coordinator for the Wilson County School District. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Spanish, a Master of Arts in Education, and has an endorsement in Instructional Leadership.
Annmarie Joyce, Asst. Principal Gr-OMrs. Joyce is the AP for all students with last names starting with Gr-OEmail: joyceann100@wcschools.com
Mrs. Joyce began her career in education in Rutherford County Schools and taught 7th grade science for six years at La Vergne Middle School. Mrs. Joyce served for two years as an assistant principal at LMS, and then served as an assistant principal at Smyrna Middle School for four years. In 2019, Mrs. Joyce moved closer to home and accepted a teaching position in Lebanon Special School District. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tennessee Technological University and her Ed.S. from MTSU.
Josh Marlowe, Asst. Principal P-Z

Mr. Marlowe started his educational career in 2008 at Mt. Juliet Middle School , spending eight years teaching 6th grade and later 8th grade history while coaching multiple sports. Later, he served in a variety of roles at Mt. Juliet High School while coaching high school baseball. In 2019, Mr. Marlowe moved to Wilson Central High School to coach golf, and he started as RTI coordinator and then became the graduation coach. A Mt. Juliet High School graduate, Mr. Marlowe attended Trevecca Nazarene University with a degree in history education in 2008. Since then, he has earned his master's degree in Curriculum and Design from Cumberland University in 2012, and a Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership in 2018 from Tennessee Tech. He resides in Mt. Juliet and has been married to Meg Marlowe for five years.

School Absence Information
Students returning from a school absence must have a written note/email/doctor note submitted to the school’s Attendance Secretary or Skyward within three days. Parents may submit up to five parent notes per semester.

PARENTS ASSISTING WEST WILSON (PAWW) BOOSTER CLUB
Welcome to Parents Assisting West Wilson (PAWW) Booster Club. Our goal is to communicate and engage all parents who want to help so they can assist as they can! We will work to post and volunteer opportunities so you can plug in as it works for you. We want WWMS to be an outstanding experience for all students and staff!!
SPONSORS: We are looking for business sponsors to assist with teacher appreciation initiatives during the year such as lunches and teacher swag. We will be highlighting the business on our social media pages and principals newsletter. Note, we are a 501(c)(3). Please reach out for more information.
